Future Essentials Jasmine Rice can
Premium long grain and naturally fragrant Jasmine Rice. Extremely long shelf life! Product of Thailand and canned in the USA. Not available anywhere else. With the rising cost of commodities these days, this is a great addition to your food storage program, and an excellent hedge against future price increases. This will last as long as the seal on the can remains intact - which will be for many, many years!
Preparation: 1. Place 1 cup of Jasmine Rice in a pot. 2. Combine with 1.5 cups of water and bring to boil. 3. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until water is absorbed. 4. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes. 5. Fluff with a fork and serve. Chicken, beef, or vegetable broth may be used instead of water for all basic cooking instructions. If using broth, do not add salt. More liquid will result in softer rice and less liquid will result in a firmer rice.
FOOD PREPARATION TIPS:
1. Rinse 1 cup of Basmati Rice in cold water to remove excess starch.2. Combine with 1.5 cups of water, 1 Tbsp of oil (optional) and a dash of salt (optional) in a pot and bring to boil.3. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes or until water is absorbed.4. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes.5. Fluff with fork and serve.
