Innumerable banana plantations are scattered across Mindanao, making the Philippines the "Banana Capital of the World." Banana Chips are made from Philippine bananas of the Saba and Cardava varieties.
In addition to being picked in their mature green stage, the bananas are peeled, washed, sliced, and fried in fresh, refined coconut oil.
These chips have no artificial additives, and they are approximately 20-25 mm in diameter and 4.0 mm thick. They can be added directly to yogurt, cereals, and oatmeal.
Beautiful and well made. Definitely a counter center piece however, my wife found that it did not grind fine enough for flour even after 3 grinds. Not a show stopper but something to consider if buying for sourdough or other fine flour recipes.
I notice a definite difference in the quality of the taste of the water itself and the drinks, like coffee and tea, that I make with it. I appreciate that the fluoride is taken out also without removing the minerals.
