Each can contains eight (8) fully cooked and ready to eat ‘Grill Delights’ Hot Dogs! Each can has a net weight of 14.5 ounces and is packed in 3 to 4 ounces of a mild brine solution to extend the shelf life. These Hot Dogs are made from 100% U.S. Chicken and Pork, and they are about 3/4’s of an inch shorter than a standard Hot Dog (to fit in a #300 can) ... made to specifications, hand packed in the
U.S. and then cooked in the can to preserve flavor.

This Canned Meat is non-perishable, requires no refrigeration and is ideal for camping, travel, and long-term food storage. This product may be stored for 10 years or more in airtight sealed cans. Like any other Hot Dog, you just heat and serve. Or in a real pinch, serve them cold. The most difficult part of putting this product together under the careful supervision of the U.S.D.A. was to find the perfect blend of meats and casing that could stand up to the cooking process in the can (which is done under high temperature and pressure to make the contents microbiologically safe to eat until you open the can - that is how you get an extremely long shelf life out of a product like this).
Literally hundreds of Hot Dog trials and samples were run to get the combination of cook time, cook temp and the PH balance on the Brine – it had to be perfect. Confirmed by a University Study and approved by the USDA inspectors who are on site whenever any of our long-shelf-life meat products (bacon, beef, chicken, pork, turkey, hamburger, pork sausage, taco meat, etc.) are being run, we publish the shelf life to be 10+ years, but you will get many more years out of it as long as the can remains sealed and you keep it cool and out of direct sunlight.
With its extremely long shelf life, these Hot Dogs will make the perfect addition to your food storage program and they are even great for everyday use. Take some with you when you go camping, hiking or hunting - keep a case in the boat, RV, cabin or anywhere that you may need to prepare a meal but don’t have refrigeration!!
How do they can fresh meat?
In the canning process, raw meat is placed in cans, the cans are sealed, and the product is cooked in it's natural juices. Yoder's canned meats have become popular because of their convenience, low fat content, and non-refrigerated shelf-life.
