The Little Guy Safecastle Special Package Teardrop Trailers are built by skilled Amish craftsmen with an Alufiber roof, 2” coupler, 7-way connector (for units with 12 volt power), junction box, stabilizer jacks, LED lights, removable platforms on PLATFORM models, receiver rack, custom tri-fold or split mattress, lights in cabin and galley, cabinetry, double-locking doors with windows & screens, fixed galley countertop, aluminum fenders and alloy wheels, diamond-plate stoneguards on the front and back sides of the trailer.
The 5-Wide Platform ROUGH RIDER Model Teardrop Camper Trailer is a first in the recreational vehicle industry: a camper that can be taken off-road, just about anywhere that your 4-wheel drive can go. It has the classic teardrop shape and a 2 inch x 3 inch frame: Welded and Powder Coated for Extra Protection - and an Enclosed Underbelly to Block Debris. It boasts full 11 gauge steel skid plates. The 5 Wide Rough Rider weighs approximately 1,490 pounds. The overall length is just over 12 feet including the tongue. It rolls on large, Jeep-themed, off-road tires and wheels -235-65-R15. You get a minimum of 19” of water-fording capability -20” clearance to cabin - 13” clearance to axle. Large straight line fenders, a ruggedized suspension and a Pintle Hitch complete the unique features of this off-road trailer.
But that's not the end of it, by any means. This camper trailer sports a black fiberglass exterior. Locking double entry doors with slider window and screen provide safety and privacy, and a rear locking hatch provides access to the galley. A large roof vent ensures adequate ventilation. Aluminum alloy wheels scream quality, and the aluminum fenders are a real work of art. Carpeted interior sides and floor make this teardrop camper trailer comfortable, and the vinyl clad headliner is easy to keep clean.
This model of teardrop camper trailer includes interior cabinets and lights, along with a large sleeping area. The interior and mattress are five feet wide inside.
