Military Surplus (Chicken Nuggets) Single Can
These Freeze Dried Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets are made exclusively with white meat chicken. We found these nuggets to be crunchy and tasty. The flavor is meaty and not overly salty. They are perfect with any sauce or even with just ketchup!
Preparation: To prepare the nuggets, fully soak the desired amount of nuggets in warm water for 15 minutes. Then preheat oven to 400 degrees F and heat for 10-15 minutes. If you want to deep fry them, then heat oil to 350 degrees F and fry nuggets for 2-3 minutes.
Once we re-hydrated the nuggets, we baked them in the conventional oven for 15 minutes. However, it is completely up to you how you want to prepare them. Once rehydrated, they look just like regular nuggets that you would get in the store. There was no shrinkage when we cooked them. You can expect 25+ years shelf life as long as the nuggets are sealed in the can - and probably as many as 30 to 40 since there is no water or oxygen in the can to spoil them!!!
Once opened they will last: up to 1 year in a Zip Lock bag with refrigeration once opened but not re-hydrated up to 60 days in a zip lock bag without refrigeration once opened, but not re-hydrated up to 5 days in the fridge once they are re-hydrated.
These are perfect for storing and using for many years! You can have great tasting food in seconds with no mess and no waste - and it doesn't matter if the power goes out!! You can open just one can at a time and in 20 minutes cook one or as many of these as you want however you would cook any other chicken nuggets!!! Perfect for camping, boating, traveling, or at the cabin.
