Red Feather Real Canned Butter from Ballantyne's in New Zealand

If you have been looking to add REAL butter, not powdered or freeze dried, to your long-term food storage program, then look no further!

This canned butter that is imported from New Zealand actually tastes better than any gourmet butter we had ever tried - and no refrigeration is necessary!!

From Manufacturer: Red Feather Shelf Life -- There is no Expiration Date written in stone because the shelf life depends largely on the storage conditions (temperature, humidity, altitude, sunlight/shade, etc.). We do guarantee a shelf life of two years however, the actual shelf life of the butter will ultimately be determined by the storage conditions (temperature being the main factor) and the seal on the can remaining intact and therefore protecting the butter from the introduction of oxygen."

GREAT FOR CAMPING! PERFECT FOR THE BOAT OR RV!

Now you can finally have smooth, creamy, high-quality butter . . . and who cares if the electricity goes off??

And the best part (besides the great taste), is the list of ingredients: Pasteurized Cream and Salt - that's it!! No preservatives, food coloring or chemicals of any kind, just naturally made wholesome butter from down under.

Speaking of ingredients; Here's what the label lists for nutritional info compared to the American butter that we are all used to today;

Did you know that butter contains a great source of trace minerals including: zinc, iodine, copper, chromium, manganese and selenium which is a powerful antioxidant. Butter contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K2. Butter is a rich source of bioavailable vitamin A which supports healthy vision, neurological function, promotes healthy skin, keeps our endocrine system functioning well, and supports a healthy thyroid and adrenal. Choline is an essential micronutrient needed for many of the body’s functions, including; liver function, brain development, nerve function, muscle movement, supporting energy levels, the metabolism, detoxification and the process of methylation. Butyric acid is an anti-carcinogenic short chain fatty acid. This boosts healing and contains soothing properties on the intestinal tract.

CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)

Contains anti properties

Butter contains both short and medium-chain fatty acids which support the immune system, protect the stomach from gastrointestinal infections and boost metabolism. Grass-fed butter also contains essential fatty acids Omega 3 and 6. The role of cholesterol in our body is tragically misunderstood. However, the diet-heart hypothesis has been proven false over and over again. Grass-fed butter contains high levels of CLA which help to inhibit different types of cancer and promotes the body to store muscle instead of fat. This help to fight against pathogenic microorganisms living inside the digestive tract

5 benefits of butter

  • Vitamin E helps to prevent free-radical damage, is required for the proper functioning of many organs in the body and improves skin health. Vitamin D is essential for the absorption of calcium. Vitamin K2 is essential for the body to help utilize minerals, including calcium, protecting against tooth decay. All the vitamins found in butter help to support a healthy metabolism and balance hormones.

  • Some of you may be trying to watch your weight and be very hesitant to begin adding butter back into your diet. You don’t have to be concerned because the fatty acids found in butter are not stored as fat in the body. Instead they promote muscle storage and are used by vital organs in your body.

  • Butter provides our bodies with cholesterol that is essential for healthy cellular function. It also plays a huge role in the brain and nervous system development, acting as a healing agent in the body, especially when stress and inflammation are present. As you can see butter is truly a superfood!

FAQs

1. What is the shelf life?

Canned food has a shelf life of at least two years from the date of processing. Canned food retains its safety and nutritional value well beyond two years, but it may have some variation in quality, such as a change of color and texture. Canning is a high-heat process that renders the food commercially sterile. Food safety is not an issue in products kept on the shelf or in the pantry for long periods of time. In fact, canned food has an almost indefinite shelf life at moderate temperatures (75° F and below)

Good tasting butter ready to use when you need it.

The delivery box was intact, but the cans of chicken and butter were dented. I'm dreading what the condition of my canned turkey will be. These items were expensive, and I had to toss half of them. I would have to be a photographer to take the amount of photos wanted for proof by Safe Castle to receive a replacement or return.
I just wanted to return the product. I will not order from Safe Castle again.
