    Quality Product

Love my Berkey filter. Best gravity system out there. My replacement filters were shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. I did not receive a shipping notification so I was pleasantly surprised when the package arrived.

    Arrived Very Quickly!

I ordered these filters on 12/27 and, despite the holiday weekend, they arrived less than a week later. Boy am I impressed! The filters work perfectly and the wing nuts are no tighter than the last set of filters I purchased a few years ago. It's wonderful to enjoy fresh, clean, good-tasting water. LOVE Safecastle... good prices, quick delivery, and high quality products!

Great Filters - highly rated by others too!

We are very happy with our Black Berkey water filters. They do a great job making drinking water for us. They are so powerful they can remove food coloring from the water. We use 4 at a time in our Royal Berkey. My only wish is that the tall thin filters be designed to be less tall and wider, putting more of the surface area of the filters lower in the upper water tank. You can imagine that with the current tall thin filters... when you completely fill the water tank and the entire filter is submerged, the entire filter is working. However, as the water level gets lower, less and less of the filter is getting used (only the lower part of the filter) and over time that lower part of the filter gets more and more use than the upper part of the filter, which means it clogs up with the stuff you are filtering out faster than the upper part of the filter. So, eventually when the life of the filter is over -- it is really the life of the bottom of the filter that is over. The top of the filter still has lots of life in it because it has not had as much water filtered through the top as the bottom of the tall thin filter. If they made the filters so they could be inverted, then at least you could invert the filter (to have the less used top part of the filter on the bottom) to extend the life of the filter. But the best solution would be to make them shorter and wider (so they have the same surface area as the taller thinner filters)! Berkey, if you're reading this... :)
