Serenity is an amazing story of determination and courage. She grew up homeless before assuming full responsibility for herself at age 16 to pursue her education. Her educational path and interests in helping others have led to becoming a valuable community asset and resource. Serenity is a trained EMT, fixed-wing pilot, amateur radio operator (#KG6HIP), 911 dispatcher, American Red Cross Disaster Action Team Leader, founder of the Courier Disaster Response Team of San Francisco, and has extensive experience offering disaster preparedness training and consultation. She also recently became a mother for the first time!
